Prepositions

In front of, wirringa. Behind, wuggurwila. To the left, mirambil. Between, wongga. Above, ngunnawa. Below, ngunnadhur. Outside, ngullugal.

Many of these prepositions are subject to inflections indicating the number and the person, as in the following example which relates to everything found on the left:

 

1st person:

on my left

Mirranggadhi

Singular

2nd person

on your left

Mirrangganu

 

3rd person

on his/her left

Mirranggalugu

and so on, for all the persons of the dual and the plural.

Wirringgadhi, in front of me. Wuggurwiladhi, behind me, & c., subject to the same inflections.

Interjections and exclamations

! To draw attention. Chùh! signifies sh! Nginyalanduna, is equivalent to ‘well done’.

One, muggu. Two, bulagar.
